about us
The ESL Lab @ San Jose City College supports all SJCC English language learners enrolled in a lecture class, not only ESL classes.
We offer an ESL 508 (0-unit) free lab as well as 312L, 322L and 522L (0.5 unit) co-requisite labs to be taken with the ESL 312, 322 or 522 lecture class at the same time. We are currently offering both online and in-person services.

Lab Services
Individual Conferences
Students can have in-person and/or Zoom sessions one-on-one with lab instructors and ESL tutors. You can book conferences in advance or join an in-person session as a walk-in and wait for the next availability. To learn how, please visit the “how-to” section on this page.
Group Workshops

Online Grammar and Reading Programs
Many of our ESL classes give you access to MyEnglishLab Grammar and Writing programs.
Technology
The ESL Lab in the Learning Resource Center building has 34 all-in-one touchscreen computers with headsets and more computers in the foyer outside of room L-120. You can print in black & white and in color to pay printers on the same floor.
