Tokyo Skytree is famous for its fascinating tower and exciting amusement facilities at the foot of it. This tower is located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, Japan. It was completed in May 2012, and it is the highest broadcasting tower in the world. The height is 634 meters tall (2080 ft.) and it has two lookouts. The height of the higher floor is 450 meters (1476 ft.). Visitors can see not only Tokyo but also outlying prefectures from the lookout. The tower is illuminated every day and the colors are different each day. In addition, there are some amusement facilities around the Skytree, such as a mall, planetarium, and aquarium. The Skytree tower and its surrounding facilities are called “Tokyo Skytree Town." There are many shops and restaurants in the mall. The Planetarium has a unique program that emits a pleasant aroma during the show. In the aquarium, visitors can watch around 10,000 sea animals. Many people – not only the Japanese but also foreigners – visit and enjoy these facilities. From May 2012 to December 2013, over 5,540,000 people visited the tower and over 44,760,000 people visited it if you include Tokyo Skytree Town. Tokyo Skytree is one of the most popular places in Japan.
